Welcome to the MassCat Mailing List Information Page!

The MassCat Mailing List is intended as a forum for MassCat Members to discuss MassCat-related issues with each other, such as how to export or import records from local systems to MassCat, how to manage cataloging workflows, and questions or issues related to ILL.

This list will also be the place where the latest information regarding the MassCat database as well as related services such as CatExpress will be posted. The MassCat Manager will regularly post messages pertaining to system downtime, updates or changes to the MassCat database, changes to the masscat.org Website, information about new members and any other information pertinent to membership in MassCat.

To subscribe to the MassCat Mailing List, follow the instructions in the section below.

Subscribe to MassCat by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members.

You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
